Distance between Pune to Mumbai = 600 km

The train starts at 9:00 A.M.

Formula used:

Speed : distance / time

Calculation:

Speed of train : 600 / 3

= 200 km / h

Speed of car = 600 / 6

= 100 km / h

Distance travelld by train from 9:00 A.M. to 10:30 A.M. is 300 km

Remaining distance = 600 – 300 = 300 km

Relative speed of train and car = (200 + 100) km / h

= 300 km / h

Time: 300 / 300

= 1 hour

Hence, the train and car meet at 11:30 A.M.
