Let the cost of each geyser and each heater is x and y respectively.

Given, cost of 3 geysers and 4 heaters is Rs.2500

⇒ 3x + 4y = 2500      ...(1)

also given, cost of 4 geysers and 3 heaters is Rs.2400

⇒ 4x + 3y = 2400      ...(2)

On adding (1) and (2), we get,

7x + 7y = 4900

⇒ x + y = 700      ...(3)

On subtracting (1) and (2), we get,

-x + y = 100      ...(4)

On adding (3) and (4), we get,

2y = 800

⇒ y = 400

Substitute value of y in equation (3),

x + 400 = 700

⇒ x = 300

So, cost of one geyser = Rs. 300

and cost of one heater = Rs. 400
