∴ Each child actually get = x + 3 sweets

Total number of students = 600

Students absent = 180

∴ Students present = 600 – 180 = 420

According to problem,

⇒ 600x = 420(x + 3)

⇒ 600x = 420x + 1260

⇒ 180x = 1260

⇒ x = 7

∴ Each child was originally supposed to get = 7 sweets.
