Speed of Bombay express = 70 km/hr

At 16:15 hrs. I.e. 3 hr later Rajdhani express left for Delhi for Bombay

Speed of Rajdhani express = 90 km/hr

Let both train travelled ‘d’ distance to meet each other

Time = distance/speed

Time taken by Bombay express = d/70

Time taken by Rajdhani express = d/90

Rajdhani express started 3 hrs later

That is time taken by Bombay express = time taken by Rajdhani express + 3

d/70 = (d/90) +3

(d/70) - (d/90) = 3

(90 – 70)d = 6300 × 3

d = (6300 × 3)/20 = 945 km
