If 3 liter of water is evaporated on boiling 15 liter of salt solution containing 12% of salt. What percent of salt is present in the remaining solution? Correct Answer 15%

The amount of salt remains the same in the solution even after evaporation.

Let x be the percentage of salt in solution after evaporation.

∴ 12% salt in 15 liter = x% salt in (15 - 3) liter

(12/100) × 15 = (x/100) × 12

⇒ x = 15

∴ 15% salt is present in the remaining solution.
