The length and breadth of a rectangular field are in the ratio of 6 : 5. If the perimeter of the field is 132 metres, then what is its breadth? Correct Answer 30 m

Perimeter of rectangle = 2 (Length + Breadth)

Let,

The length and breadth are 6x and 5x respectively

∴ Perimeter = 2 (6x + 5x)

Given,

Perimeter = 132 m

∴ 2(6x + 5x) = 132

⇒ 11x = 66

⇒ x = 6

∴ Breadth = 5 × 6 m = 30 m
