The dealer bought fertilizer for Rs. 40 per kg, but filled only 48.5 kg fertilizer in a 50 kg bag

⇒ Cost price of a fertilizer bag = 40 × 48.5 = Rs. 1940

Now, in order to earn a profit of 15%,

⇒ Selling the fertilizer bag for = 1940 + 15% of 1940 = 1940 + 291 = Rs. 2231

∴ The dealer is selling the fertilizer bag for Rs. 2231
