Two statements and a few problems are given. Which of the following problems can be solved through these statements? Statement I: The sum of three numbers is 1500. Statement II: The numbers are in the ratio 2 : 1 : 2. Problem 1: What is the multiplication of first number and third number? Problem 2: Is second number divisible by 60? Problem 3: Is sum of first and second number divisible by third number? Correct Answer All 1, 2 & 3 can be solved

Let the numbers be 2X, X and 2X.

2X + X + 2X = 1500

⇒ X = 300

Numbers are 600, 300 and 600.

Multiplication of first and third number = 600 × 600 = 3600 (problem 1 is solved)

Second number = 300 which is divisible by 60 i.e. 300/60 = 50 (problem 2 is solved).

Sum of first number and second number = 600 + 300 = 900

Now, 900/600 = 3 : 2, so, it is not completely divisible, but it can be answered in yes or no (problem 3 is solved)
