There is frosted paint on the patio door but the dog is scratching it, wanting to go out. Will the paint hold up or be ruined?

Do it yourself spray to create frosted glass (a coating) is rare. Unless you spray applied it yourself, or know for a fact that someone else did, I suspect that it is manufactured frosted glass, which means a portion of the actual glass has been removed. As stated in the article, the frost spray can be removed with a razor blade, which means that the bond to the glass is not equal to the strength of solid glass, therefore I believe dog scratches could damage the coating.
