Maybe you could ask to go on the trip for your birthday, Christmas, or another occasion. Make sure to bring up all the fun times you had and memories you made as a family while you were there. Maybe even mention some attractions you'd like to see that you didn't get around to the first time. Just don't nag them too much or they're much less likely to say yes.
