Running and walking are both very good exercises for your legs, but it depends on the intensity of your exercise. If you're a runner who's sprinting a lot, then you're going to build a lot more muscle on your leg than if you're just walking on flat ground. Power walking, walking briskly, and hiking uphill are all going to build muscle, however. If your plan is to build more muscle, you need to have more lean meats as well. Fish, like tuna, is a good option. You can also try eggs, soy, beans, and chicken breast.
