It depends what you mean by 'care'. Many male dogs are loving and attentive to puppies, but of course they lack the physical ability to feed the puppies. In addition, they may lack the instinct to clean the area around the puppies bottom in order to get them to toilet. At best, let the male dog provide comfort and warmth, but expect to hand-raise the puppies.
