Food coloring does stain your clothes and your skin. Wear clothes you don't mind getting dirty when making these fake blood recipes. If food coloring gets on your clothes, soak them in a mixture of 1 quart of water, 1/2 teaspoon of liquid hand dishwashing detergent, and 1 tablespoon of ammonia for 15 minutes. Then gently scrub the area. If food coloring gets on your skin, wash it away with some soap and water.
