Option 3 : Solve \(\frac{1}{3}\) + \(\frac{1}{4}\)
Learning outcomes are statements that explain the knowledge or skills that students should have at the end of a unit or course and that help students understand why that knowledge and abilities will be helpful to them.
Learning outcomes for grade III learners-
- The learner should be able to construct and use multiplication facts in daily life situations.
- The learner should be able to read and write numbers up to 999 using place value and solve simple daily life problems using addition and subtraction of 3 digit numbers leader without regrouping. (What is the place value of 4 in 543?)
- Analyze and applies an appropriate number operation in the situation.
- Identify, make, and describe 2D shapes by several sides, corners, and diagonals and fill a given region leaving no gaps using a tile of a given shape.
- Estimate and measure length and distances using standard units.
- Compares the capacity of different containers in terms of non-standard units.
- Comparing quantitative data like shows that 2 X 5 is the same as 5 X 2.
- Identify a particular day and date on a calendar
- Extends patterns in simple shapes and numbers.
- Records data using tally marks.
Hence, we conclude that solving 1/3 + 1/4 is not an expected learning outcome from grade III learners.
HintDivision and fractions are the learning outcomes for upper primary classes and have not been introduced in grade III.
