Fibre to Fabric is a lesson included in the curriculum of science in class 7 NCERT. Here many concepts related to fibres have been discussed and the transformation of fibre to fabric is also given clearly in a step by step manner.

Here the students grasp the concepts like:

Steps involved in the conversion of fibre to fabric.
Separation of fibres from cotton seeds.
Sources of various fibres like wool, silk and cotton.
The life cycle of the caterpillars.
Process of rearing silkworms under laboratory conditions.
Processing of natural fibres into wool.
the weaving process of silk thread into cloth by the weavers.

On the other hand, the students would not have learnt the processing of synthetic fibres in different articles because here in the lesson only concepts regarding natural fibres are discussed. No explanation regarding the synthetic fibres is given.
