Selling price of pendrive is Rs. 750.60 including sales tax of 8%.

Calculation:

Let the cost price of pendrive for shopkeeper be x

According to the question,

x + (8/100) × x = 750.60

⇒ 108x/100 = 750.60 

⇒ x = 750.60  × (100/108)

⇒ x = 695

So, He gives tax = 750.60 × 8 /108 = Rs. 55.60

He asked the shopkeeper to reduce the price of the pendrive so that he can save the amount equal to the tax.

Now, the price of the pendrive would be = (750.60 – 55.60) = Rs. 695

∴  The cost of pendrive now for Naveen is Rs. 695.
