Percentage formula = (Value / Total value) × 100

Calculation:

Let, the total number of men = x

And the total number of women = Y

We know that 25% of men are educated then uneducated men are 75% of the total number of men.

We know the ratio between the total number of women and uneducated men = 2 : 5

Total number of uneducated men = (75 / 100) × x = 3x / 4

Now to find the ratio between the total number of women and men

⇒ Y / (3x / 4) = 2 / 5

⇒ Y / x = 3 / 10

The ratio between the total number of women and men = 3 : 10

To find total men or women

⇒ The ratio of men or women / total ratio of both (men’s ratio + women’s ratio) × total population

Then total women = 3 / 13 × 26000 = 6000

Total men = 10 / 13 × 26000 = 20000

Educated men = 25% of total men

⇒ (25 / 100) × 20000 = 5000
