Profit divided into three persons = Rs. 570

Profit ratio of first person to second person = 2 : 3

Profit ratio of second person to third person = 2 : 3

Concept:

If N is divided into a : b, then

First part = N × a/(a + b)

Second part = N × b/(a + b)

Calculation:

Profit ratio of first person to second person = 2x : 3x     ----(1)

Profit ratio of second person to third person = 2x : 3x     ----(2)

Multiply by 2 in equation (1) and multiply by 3 in equation (2), we get

Profit ratio of first, second and third person = 4x : 6x : 9x

According to the question

4x + 6x + 9x = 570

⇒ 19x = 570

⇒ x = 570/19

⇒ x = 30

Profit share of second person = 30 × 6 = Rs. 180 

Thus the correct answer is 180.
