3 partners – A, B and C have opened a partnership firm and mutually decided a profit share of each partners. They have decided that A’s profit share is twice of the B’s profit share and C’s share is 1/3rd of the B’s share. If total revenue is Rs. 2,26,129 and total expense is Rs. 1,13,069, then what will be the profit share of B? Correct Answer 33918

Net Profit = Total Revenue – Total Expense

= Rs. 2,26,129 – Rs. 1,13,069

= Rs. 1,13,060

Let, the profit share of B is Rs. x.

→ A’s profit share = Rs. 2x

→ C’s profit share = Rs. x/3.

Thus, we have

Net Profit = A’s profit share + B’s profit share + C’s profit share

1,13,060 = 2x + x + x/3

1,13,060 = (6x + 3x + x)/3

1,13,060 = 10x/3

x = (1,13,060 × 3)/10

= 3,39,18

Hence, B’s profit share is Rs. 3,39,18.
