To find :

Total money spent for the meal

Concept used :

Average = (sum of all observations)/(total number of observations)

Calculation :

Let the average money spent by all of them be x

⇒ The total money spent by them = 11x

⇒ Money spent by ten of them each = 15

⇒ Total money spent by 10 of them = 15 × 10

⇒ Total money spent by 10 of them = 150

⇒ 150 + x + 10 = 11x

⇒ 10x = 160

⇒ x = 16

⇒ Total money spent by all of them = 16 × 11

∴ Total money spent by all of them is 176
