Calculation:

Checking I:

Expenditure on C = (25/100) × 42000 = 10500

Expenditure on A = (12/100) × 42000 = 5040

C - A = 10500 - 5040 = 5460

Checking II:

Expenditure on A = 5040

Expenditure on D = (15/100) × 42000 = 6300

A/D = 5040/6300 = 4 : 5

⇒ Statement II is false

∴ Neither I nor II is correct
