Calculation:

The monthly income of Hari and Krishna

⇒ H + K = 28,000      ----(i)

Hari’s income = x ; Krishna’s income = 28,000 – x

∴ K = 112.5/100 × (28000 - x)      ----(ii)

∴ H’s new income = x × 125/100

∴ K’s new income:

⇒ 112.5/100 × (28000 - x) = x × 125/100 × 120/100

⇒ 31500 – 1.125x = 1.5x

⇒ 2.675x = 31500

⇒ 12,000

∴ Hari’s new income = 12000 × 125/100

⇒ 15,000

∴ the new income of Hari is Rs. 15000.
