Given 

Ratio of present age Vaibhav and Sagar = 5 : 3 

Calculation 

Let the ratio be x 

According to the question 

(5x - 4)/(3x + 4) = 1/1

⇒ 5x - 4 = 3x + 4 

⇒ x = 4 

Vaibhav age 4 years hence = 5(4) + 4 = 24 

Sagar' age 4 year ago = 3(4) - 4 = 8 

Required Answer = 24 : 8 = 3 : 1 

∴ The required answer is 3 : 1
