Quantity I: The difference between present ages of Dheeru and Chandan is 4 years and the average of present ages of Bablu and Dheeru is 30 years. If Amit is 48 years older to Bablu and Dheeru is 36 years younger to Bablu, then what is the average of the present ages of Amit and Bablu? Quantity II: The ratio of present ages of K, L and M is 18 : 14 : 13, respectively, then difference between the present ages of K and M is 25 years. What is the average of the ages of K, L and M, Quantity III: 70 Years

Quantity II: The ratio of present ages of K, L and M is 18 : 14 : 13, respectively, then difference between the present ages of K and M is 25 years. What is the average of the ages of K, L and M, Quantity III: 70 Years Correct Answer Quantity II > Quantity I > Quantity III
Quantity I:
Let the present ages of Amit, Bablu, Chandan and Dheeru be A, B, C and D respectively
According to the given information,
C – D = 4 ---- (1)
(B + D )/2 = 30
⇒ B + D = 60 ---- (2)
A – B = 48 ---- (3)
B – D = 36 ---- (4)
Adding equation (2) and (4)
2B = 96
⇒ B = 48
Putting the value of B in Equation (3) we get
A = 96
Now,
(A + B)/2 = (96 + 48)/2 = 72
Hence, the average of the present ages of Amit and Bablu is 72 years
Quantity II :
According to the given information,
∵ K : L : M = 18 : 14 : 13
∴ let the ages be 18x, 14x, and 13x respectively
∵ K - M = 25
⇒ 18x - 13x = 25
⇒ 5x = 25
⇒ x = 5
Hence, the present ages of K, L and M are
18x = 18 × 5 = 90 years; 14x = 14 × 5 = 70 years, and 13x = 13 × 5 = 65 years respectively
Average = (90 + 70 + 65) / 3
⇒ 75 Years
Therefore, Quantity II > Quantity I > Quantity III
Hence, option 2) is correct.
