Let, the age of Rahul = x

Age of Rahul’s father = y

According to the question,

y + 3 = 2x + 6

y = 2x + 6 – 3

y = 2x + 3

&, y + 1 = 3x + 3

y = 3x + 3 – 1

y = 3x + 2

Equating y in both the equations, we get

2x + 3 = 3x + 2

x = 1

Hence, after 20 years, age of Rahul = 1 + 20 = 21 years
