Given:
Average score of the bastman after 10 innings = 45 runs
In the 11th innings, he scored = 80 runs
Increase in his average after 2 more innings = 5 runs
Calculations:
Let’s consider, he scored x runs in 12th innings
Total run in 10 innings = (45 × 10) = 450 runs
Score in last two innings = (x + 80) runs
According to the questions,
(50 × 12) – (80 + x) = 450
Or, 600 – 80 – x = 450
Or, x = 520 – 450
Or, x = 70
