Calculation: 

There are four members in the family and Average reduced by 6 kg 

Total weight reduced by family = 6 × 4 = 24

Mother and Father reduced 4 kg in total 

Daughter and Son reduced weight = 24 – 4 = 20  

⇒ 3x + 2x = 20 

⇒ x = 4
