Given:

Average number of air conditioners sold in 15 days = 6

In 1 week or 7 days 50 air conditioners are sold

Formula used: 

Average = (Sum of value of all the numbers)/(Total numbers)

Solution:

Average number of air conditioners sold in 15 days = 6

⇒ Total air conditioners sold in 15 days = 15 × 6 = 90

50 air conditioners are sold in 7 days 

∴ Remaining days = 15 – 7 = 8

Remaining air conditioners sold in 8 days = 90 – 50 = 40

∴ Air conditioners sold each day = 40/8 = 5
