P, Q and R are partners in a company. In any year P receives 1/6 part of profit, Q receives 1/5 part and R receives Rs. 38000. How much amount will P get as profit? Correct Answer Rs. 10000

Calculation:

Let the profit be Rs. x

According to the question,

P receives 1/6 part of profit = x × 1/6 = x/6

Q receives 1/5 part of profit = x × 1/5 = x/5

Profit of R = x - (x/6 + x/5) = 19x/30

Now,

19x/30 = 38000

⇒ x = Rs. 60000

Profit of P = 60000/6 = Rs. 10000

∴ P get as profit is Rs. 10000.
