If the difference between the price of both units for the customer is Rs. 96.6, then what is the total cost of both the units for the customer? Correct Answer Rs. 1062.6
Let the price of the item for the whole seller be 100x.
Price of item for customer when purchased from whole seller = 115% of 100x = 115x
Price of item for customer when purchased from shopkeeper = 120% of 115x = 138x
According to the question:
138x – 115x = 96.6
x = 4.2
Total cost of both the units for customer = 115x + 138x = Rs. 1062.6
