Given, R = 7V

And. V = D / 3

⇒ D = 3V

Also, D / H = 4 / 5

⇒ H = 5D / 4

Replacing D in terms of V we get,

H = (15 V) / 4

And, R - H = 26

⇒ 7V - (15 V) / 4 = 26

⇒ V = 8 years

⇒ D = 24 years

∴ the sum of present age of D and V is = 24 + 8 = 32 years
