Let, the cost price be Tk. x

∴ Profit = Selling price - Cost price.
& Loss = Cost price – Selling price.
Now, According to question
1,920 - x = x - 1,280

$\Rightarrow x + x = 1, 280 + 1, 920 \Rightarrow 2 x = 3, 200 \Rightarrow x = \frac{3200}{2} \Rightarrow x = 1600 ∴ T h e \cos t p r i c e o f t h e a r t i c l e i s T k . 1, 600 .$

Now at 25% profit, the selling price will be $= (1660 + 1600 + \times \frac{25}{100}) = (1600 + 400) T k . = 2, 000 T k . 2, 000 T k . (A n s .)$
