While I understand the best rule is to leave fledglings alone, ours is inside a fenced yard where my dogs go to relieve themselves. I tried placing it in a tree and it flew back to the ground. Help.

Fledglings will take up to 2 weeks to learn how to fly, so they need time on the ground. Keep your dog on a leash when you take your dogs out so they can't reach the fledgling.
