Only pull-ups really help to do more pull-ups. Many gyms have assisted pull up machines which take the weight off your body so you can build the muscle and get used to doing them. If you cannot go to a gym, ask a friend to help. Hang from the bar, bend your knees, cross your ankles and ask your friend to hold your feet and help you up. If you do these about 2-3 days a week, then before you know it you will be doing them on your own.
