Close off your energy. All information comes to your higher self; so, make some type of affirmation like "Only my highest good comes to me." If you ask your higher self to be the guide, then the spirit you want to communicate with doesn't actually have to get in your body. It can be outside of your body, outside of your energy field, and it can communicate with you.
