Disassemble the lock and check the cable to make sure that it's not pinched or broken. Then, test the lock off the door to make sure it's functioning before you put it back on. If you change the battery, find the cable in working order, and still can't get the lock to work, it's likely because of a digital failure (something circuit-wise has failed). In that case, you'll need to get it swapped out and replaced.
