You're better off using a treatment designed for blackheads. Apply a medicated wash or product to the blackheads with a black applicator—this is a wand-like tool with a sponge attached on one end. Just keep in mind that benzoyl peroxide, a common ingredient in acne treatments, can bleach fabric, so be careful getting dressed after you apply the treatment.
