Try running the shower and taking the cat into the steamy bathroom. The steam inhalation can help loosen mucus and ease the congestion. Also, check the nostril on that side is not blocked, and gently clean it if it is. Your vet can prescribe a 'mucolytic' or a drug that makes mucus more runny, which will help the cat to sneeze it out.
