You can either make a thick baking soda paste by mixing baking soda with water. Apply the paste to the affected areas. Or, you can rub the leaves of jewelweed on the affected area. Jewelweed is a small plant that usually grows around the nettles plant. If you do not have these materials on-hand, for immediate relief, human saliva can be applied to the affected area.
