Play sports or become a non-playing member of the team like an assistant, statistician, press manager, etc. You can write sports for the school paper, volunteer with kids sports, call the games on the PA if your school has someone doing that. You should take statistics and be good at math, perhaps combine a major with journalism and phys ed, something sports related. See if you can get an internship with a local TV or paper or pro sports team.
