It can be tough to keep preserved insects around because there are a lot of creatures that want to eat preserved specimens of insects. Specifically, dermestid beetles will easily get into a box and eat an entire collection. What you can do to protect these boxes against dermestids is have a box that is very well sealed and stored in a cool place. A lot of people put their storage boxes inside of another box so that it’s well sealed. And then inside of that box, you also want to add something like mothballs or moth crystals to act as a repellant.
