I am uncomfortable doing a task my boss has asked me to do, and I have been for a long time. The boss is adamant this should be done. The task is not in my contract, but prefer not to have to bring that fact up. What else can I do?

Examine what exactly about the task makes you uncomfortable. Is it because you need more training, or you feel there is something unethical about the task? Or maybe you feel uncomfortable because you think it is outside your scope of expertise? Or maybe it’s extra work and feel it should be added to your contract with an acceptable pay raise? Figure out exactly what bothers you about the task, and come up with some solutions, then take your issue and solutions to your boss to discuss.
