What about trolling rapala lures for brown trout and salmon?

Try this set-up: Trolling at 1-1.5 mph, watch depth finder, stay in 20-25' deep water. Using 8-10 lb test. Let out 125' of line with no weight. Direct tie, no swivel. Rapala neutral jointed minnow (I like J11) should dive to 15'-18' of water. For lake and brown trout move to 50' water deep, add small split shot 4' from lure and increase to 2mph. This works well.
