The most effective way to teach human values is through experiential learning. Students must be exposed to and allowed to participate in community or social activities that the school might have. They can be taken to an elder care home or participate in activities of an orphanage, volunteer at a center for disabled persons, etc. The very act of helping someone in a disadvantaged situation brings about realization of being in a better place and therefore in a position to contribute in what ever way possible. This experience in itself is a better teacher than talking to students about human values.
