Prepare a pot with good fertilizer released soil. Cut a long piece of philodendron stem, with or without leaves. Place the cutting on top of the soil in a circle, following the shape of the pot. Press firmly into the soil for good contact. The cutting will root everywhere there is a node on the stem.
