Do a strand test! In other words, take a small section of hair (somewhere not noticeable) and do whatever you plan on doing to your hair (like bleaching or dyeing). A strand test lets you see how the color is really going to come out, along with the quality of your hair after you leave the bleaching or coloring products in for the allotted amount of time.
