Gentamicin sulphate actively transported across the bacterial cell membrane, binds to a specific receptor protein on the 30S subunit of bacterial ribosomes and interferes with an initiation complex between mRNA (messenger RNA) and the 30 S subunit, inhibiting protein synthesis. DNA may be misread, thus producing nonfunctional proteins; polyribosomes are split apart and are unable to synthesize protein. চিকিৎসায় নির্দেশিত হয়।
Eye drops may be absorbed following topical application to the eye. Ear drops may be absorbed following topical application to the ear, especially if the eardrum is perforated or if tissue damage is present. চিকিৎসায় নির্দেশিত হয়।
Gentamicin sulphate is active against many strains of the following microorganisms: Staphylococcus aureus, Staphylococcus epidermidis, Streptococcus pyogenes, Streptococcus pneumoniae, Escherichia coli, Haemophilus influenzae, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Niesseria gonorrhoea, Pseudomonus aeruginosa, and Serratia marcescens. চিকিৎসায় নির্দেশিত হয়।
কাজ
ব্লেফারাইটিস, ব্লেফারােকনজাংটিভাইটিস, কনজাংটিভার প্রদাহ, ড্যাকরিওসিসটাইটিস, কেরাটাইটিস, কেরাটোকনজাংটিভাইটিস, এ্যাকিউট মেইবােমিয়ানাইটিস এবং কর্ণিয়ার আলসারে নির্দেশিত। বহিঃকর্ণের প্রদাহে, দীর্ঘদিনের পুঁজসহ মধ্যকর্ণের প্রদাহে নির্দেশিত। চিকিৎসায় নির্দেশিত হয়।

Ophthalmic antibacterial drugsমাত্রা ও সেবনবিধি
- চোখে প্রয়ােগের ক্ষেত্রে: ১-২ ফোঁটা আক্রান্ত চোখে দিনে ৬ বার কিংবা প্রয়ােজনে তারও বেশী।
- কানে প্রয়ােগের ক্ষেত্রে ২-৩ ফোঁটা দিনে ৩-৪ বার অথবা তার থেকেও ঘন ঘন প্রয়ােগ করা যেতে পারে।
পার্শ্ব প্রতিক্রিয়া
চুলকানি, লালচে ভাব, ফোলা অথবা অন্যান্য লক্ষণ দেখা দিতে পারে। বহুল সংঘটিত পার্শ্ব প্রতিক্রিয়াগুলাের মধ্যে চোখের জ্বালাপােড়া, কনজাংটিভার প্রদাহ, কনজাংটিভার ইপিথেলিয়ামের সমস্যা ও কনজাংটিভাল হাইপারেমিয়া উল্লেখযােগ্য। চিকিৎসায় নির্দেশিত হয়।
সতর্কতা
এর যে কোন উপাদান এর প্রতি সংবেদনশীলতা থাকলে ব্যবহার করা যাবে না। মাঝে মাঝে ছত্রাক সহ অন্যান্য সংবেদনহীন জীবাণু দ্বারা রােগের সংক্রমণ হতে পারে। এটি ইঞ্জেকশনের জন্য নয় এবং চোখের এ্যান্টেরিয়র চেম্বারে সরাসরি প্রয়ােগ করা যাবে না। চিকিৎসায় নির্দেশিত হয়।

None has been reported so far with topical and Eye/Ear drops. চিকিৎসায় নির্দেশিত হয়।
গর্ভাবস্থায় ও স্তন্যদানকালে ব্যবহার
অত্যন্ত জরুরী হলেই প্রয়ােগ করার ব্যাপারে বিবেচনা করা যেতে পারে। চিকিৎসায় নির্দেশিত হয়।
প্রতিলক্ষণ
This drug is contraindicated in individuals with a history of sensitivity reaction to any of its components. Use of topical Gentamicin may occasionally allow overgrowth of nonsusceptible organisms, including fungi. চিকিৎসায় নির্দেশিত হয়।
সংরক্ষণ
To avoid contamination, do not touch the tip of the container to the eye, eyelid or any surface. চিকিৎসায় নির্দেশিত হয়।
