Trimebutine maleate is a noncompetitive spasmolytic agent. It possesses moderate opiate receptor affinity and has marked anti-serotonin activity especially on 'mu' receptors. It induces regulation of spontaneous activity and increases synchronization between electrophysiological spikes and contractions in isolated guinea pig strips of colon and ileum. However, it does not alter normal motility, but regulates abnormal intestinal activity.

মাত্রা ও সেবনবিধি

প্রাপ্ত বয়স্কদের জন্য ১-২ টি ট্যাবলেট (১০০-২০০ মি.গ্রা.) দিনে ৩ বার (খাবারের পূর্বে) খেতে হবে।

পার্শ্ব প্রতিক্রিয়া

ট্রাইমেবিউটিন সাধারণত সুসহনীয়। খুব কম ক্ষেত্রে যেসব পার্শ্বপ্রতিক্রিয়া দেখা যায় সেগুলাে হল- শুষ্ক মুখ, বিস্বাদ, ডায়রিয়া, বদহজম, পেট ব্যথা, বমিবমি, কোষ্ঠকাঠিন্য, ঝিমুনী, মাথাব্যথা ইত্যাদি।

ঔষধের মিথষ্ক্রিয়া

Trimebutine maleate increases the duration of d-tubocurarine-induced curarization. No other druginteractions have been observed during clinical trial or otherwise reported.

গর্ভাবস্থায় ও স্তন্যদানকালে ব্যবহার

গর্ভাবস্থায় ট্রাইমেবিউটিন এর ব্যবহার নিরাপদ কিনা তা এখনও প্রতিষ্ঠিত নয়। যদিও প্রাণীদের উপর পরীক্ষায় গর্ভাবস্থায় ভ্রুণের ঝুঁকির কোন প্রমাণ পাওয়া যায়নি। যদিও মায়ের দুধে ট্রাইমেবিউটিন এর নিঃসরণের কোন তথ্য নেই, স্তন্যদানকারী মায়েদের এটি অন্যান্য ওষুধের মত কেবল সুনির্দিষ্ট প্রয়ােজন হলেই ব্যবহার করা উচিত।

মাত্রাধিক্যতা

No evidence of overdosage have been reported to date. However, if overdosage should occur following oral administration, gastric lavage is recommended. Treatment should be made according to the symptoms observed.

ট্রাইমেবিউটিন ম্যালিয়েট এর প্রতি অতি সংবেদনশীল রােগীদের ক্ষেত্রে এর ব্যবহার করা যাবে না।

অন্যান্য ওষুধের সাথে মিথস্ক্রিয়া

ক্লিনিক্যাল পরীক্ষায় অন্য ওষুধের সাথে ট্রাইমেবিউটিন ম্যালিয়েট এর কোন প্রতিক্রিয়া লক্ষ্য করা যায়নি।
