Option 1 : Either I or II and III

Considering statement I,

Amount of new mixture = 6 + 4 = 10 litres

Sum of ratios = 5 + 7 = 12

Amount of water in 10 litres of new mixture = (5/12) × 10 = (25/6) litres

Considering statement II,

Amount of water in 6 litres of mixture A = (4/9) × 6 = (8/3) litres

Considering statement III,

Amount of water in 4 litres of mixture B = (3/8) × 4 = (3/2) litres

Considering statements II and III,

Amount of water in new mixture = 8/3 + 3/2 = (25/6) litres

∴ The question can be answered using either statement I or statements II and III
