Make sure that you're only working with fresh flowers if you're delivering them yourself. When it comes to the packaging, you must secure any vases or pots to keep them from sliding around in your vehicle or trunk while you're out delivering. To keep the flowers fresh, keep them out of the sun and store them in a cool location if possible. If you can, use a refrigerated truck to keep the flowers from overheating during delivery. If you're delivering flowers in water, put a drop of bleach into each container to fight any bacteria that may otherwise grow.
